An event celebrating the glamour and excitement of an opening night and the magic of stage and screen through song and theatre scenes.
Don your glad rags and enjoy the thrill of an Opening Night for a show featuring comic theatre scenes and musical performances from celebrated musicals (“Chicago”, “Hamilton”, ”Cabaret" among others) and compositions by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein

Paul and Corrie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. After a six day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corrie's mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbour-in-the-attic Velasco, where everything that can go wrong does.
Join us as we try to let our hair down, be a bit spontaneous for once, embrace life in all its glory and heck, we may even run barefoot in the park...

About the Players
The Madrid Players is an amateur English‑language theatre group based in Madrid, founded over 50 years ago. There are over 130 members from many different backgrounds, mostly from English‑speaking countries, but we also have Spanish members and other English speakers. Our members act, sing, dance, get involved in stage management, costumes, scenery, lights, sound, hair and makeup.

Workshops FOR MEMBERS
There are many ways to get involved with The Madrid Players. Aside from our major productions, we host workshops and social events that bring the English-speaking theatre community in Madrid together to develop and share our skills.
PlayReading Group
A Madrid Players tradition! A comfortable environment to read together from a wide variety of scripts, take on new roles, and enjoy the company of like-minded, talented folks. It’s also a unique chance for writers to have their scripts read aloud (perhaps for the first time) by talented, experienced actors. No experience necessary.
